Rufi Thorpe is an author renowned for her compelling storytelling and profound character studies. Thorpe received her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Virginia in 2009.

Her literary career took off with her debut novel, The Girls from Corona del Mar, which garnered critical acclaim and was longlisted for the 2014 International Dylan Thomas Prize and the 2014 Flaherty-Dunnan First Novel Prize. Following her successful debut, she published her second novel, Dear Fang, With Love, which was released by Knopf in May 2016.
