Ron McLarty, born Ronald William McLarty on April 26, 1947, was an acclaimed American actor, playwright, and novelist. He passed away on February 8, 2020. McLarty was notably recognized for his work as an audiobook narrator, recording over 100 titles and earning numerous Audie Awards for his contributions to the field.
Throughout his career, McLarty appeared in numerous television series, films, and stage productions. As a writer, he authored several plays and ten novels, most notably the novel The Memory of Running (2004).
McLarty, a native of East Providence, Rhode Island, lived in New York City with his wife, actress Kate Skinner.
