Robin Lorraine LaFevers is an American children's book writer from California. She is well-known for being the author of the Theodosia series (illustrated by Yoko Tanaka) and the Nathaniel Fludd, Beastologist series (illustrated by Kelly Murphy) for children.

For young adults, she is the author of the His Fair Assassin series, which includes the acclaimed Grave Mercy, Dark Triumph, and Mortal Heart. The companion duology, Courting Darkness and Igniting Darkness, also received critical acclaim. Her works have been nominated for the Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Children's Literature and selected as best books of the year by notable publications such as Booklist, Publishers Weekly, and Kirkus Reviews.

Despite never having trained as an assassin or joined a convent, Robin has been on a quest for answers to life’s mysteries for as long as she can remember, finding them mostly in books.
