Rebecca Gablé is a renowned German author known for her captivating works in historical fiction. Born on 25 September 1964 in Mönchengladbach, Gablé has made a significant mark with her medieval chivalry romances.
Her career took a turning point when she embarked on a literary journey after working for four years as a bank clerk. Living near a British Royal Air Force base, she developed a profound interest in English language and culture, which is often reflected in her literary works.
Her breakthrough came in 1997 with the historical novel "Das Lächeln der Fortuna" (The Smile of Fortuna), which sold around 200,000 copies in its first year. Following her success, she continued to write best-selling historical novels, including "Das zweite Königreich" (The Second Kingdom).
