Rebecca Donovan

Rebecca Donovan is an American novelist with a special appeal to twenty-somethings, a market category publishers call new adult. Donovan, who had previously worked as an events planner, began as a self-published author. In 2012, Penguin acquired the U.K. rights to her successful "Breathing" series. In 2013, she signed a contract with the Amazon.com imprint, Skyscape Publishing. According to The Boston Globe, to celebrate her publishing contract with Amazon, Donovan "took over" the Blithewold Mansion where she held a party with friends she had worked with at Rafanelli Events.

Optimism seeps from every pore of her body. She truly believes that what's supposed to happen will! In that regard, she doesn't know how to give up; it's not part of her biological makeup. She's a passionate (and some would say, overly enthusiastic) person. She learns by doing (and has been burned more times than she'd like to admit), but she will always throw her entire self into whatever she does - fail or succeed. This is evident in her writing, leaving nothing behind and spilling it all out on the pages. She gives it all to her readers - love it or hate it. The path she's on is very often her own, veering off the beaten path at the sight of something more interesting or captivating, getting caught in the vines and thorns in order to experience the beauty.
