Radhanath Swami (IAST: Rādhānātha Svāmī) is an American Gaudiya Vaishnava guru, activist, and author, born as Richard Slavin on 7 December 1950. For over 50 years, he has been a dedicated practitioner of Bhakti Yoga and a spiritual teacher.
He is the inspiration behind the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)'s free midday meal initiative, which provides meals to 1.2 million school children across India. Additionally, he played a crucial role in founding the Bhaktivedanta Hospital in Mumbai.
Radhanath Swami operates primarily from Mumbai but travels extensively throughout Europe and America, serving as a member of ISKCON's Governing Body Commission. He is described by Steven J. Rosen as a "saintly person respected by the mass of ISKCON devotees today."
