Rachel Khong is an esteemed American writer and editor renowned for her debut novel, Goodbye, Vitamin. This remarkable work not only secured her the California Book Award for First Fiction but also positioned her as a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for First Fiction. Her literary prowess extends beyond fiction, with contributions to esteemed publications such as The New York Times Book Review, The Cut, The Guardian, The Paris Review, and Tin House.
Between 2011 to 2016, Khong honed her editorial skills as the managing editor and later as the executive editor of Lucky Peach magazine. Demonstrating her versatility, she also edited a cookbook titled All About Eggs, which further established her as a versatile voice in the culinary arts.
In 2018, she took a bold step to support and foster creative talent by founding The Ruby, a collaborative work and event space dedicated to women and nonbinary writers and artists in San Francisco's Mission district.
