Rachel Hawthorne

Rachel Hawthorne, also known by her real name Lorraine Heath, is an accomplished author specializing in contemporary romance, historical romance, paranormal romance, and young adult novels. She writes under several pseudonyms, including J.A. London and Jade Parker.

Hawthorne is celebrated for her "beautiful, deeply emotional romances" and was awarded the prestigious Romance Writers of America RITA Award for Best Short Historical Romance in 1997 for her novel Always to Remember. As of June 2015, fifteen of her titles have graced the USA Today bestseller list.

Born in Watford, Herts, England, she is the daughter of a British beauty, who once won second place in a Max Factor® beauty contest, and a Texan father who was stationed at Bovingdon while serving in the air force. This unique blend of cultures has instilled in her a love for both British and Texan heritages, which she skillfully weaves into her storytelling.

Hawthorne earned her BA degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
