Peach-Pit

Peach-Pit is a female manga artist duo in Japan, consisting of Banri Sendo and Shibuko Ebara. Their name is inspired by the diner hangout Peach-Pit from the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210.

Both artists share a similar style, but it's possible to distinguish who drew certain pieces. They are known for their bishōjo styled works. Uniquely, they are both Geminis and humorously note that they have "Almost flushed our phones down the toilet...twice."

Banri and Shibuko grew up together, attending the same elementary school, and have been best friends ever since. They began their careers as doujinshi manga artists before being scouted by Dengeki Comic Gao! In 2008, one of their works, Shugo Chara!, received the Kodansha Manga Award for Best Children's Manga.

Peach-Pit's work is often compared to that of CLAMP due to similarities between DearS and Chobits, as well as Shugo Chara! and Sakura Card Captors. In their creative process, Banri is responsible for writing and Shibuko for naming. They both contribute equally to the design work.

Both authors are passionate about modeling, particularly the Super Dollfie dolls, which inspired characters in their work Rozen Maiden.
