Patrick Senécal

Patrick Senécal is a renowned French-Canadian writer and scenarist known for his horror-oriented drama novels. Born on October 20, 1967, he has gained significant recognition in Québec for his unique dark genre, often drawing comparisons to Stephen King.


Senécal's breakthrough came in 1994 with his first horror novel, 5150, rue des Ormes, noted for its tension and strong emotions. The following year, he released Le Passager, another novel filled with suspense. His third novel, Sur le seuil (1998), was unanimously acclaimed by critics for its fantastic suspense.


He continued to captivate readers with Aliss (2000), an extremely original and biting reimagining of Lewis Carroll's masterpiece, and several of his novels have been adapted into films in Québec.
