Patricia Elliott

Patricia Elliott (July 21, 1938 – December 20, 2015) was an American theatre, film, soap opera, and television actress. Born in London and growing up in Europe and the Far East, she spent much of her childhood overseas, moving every two or three years. This meant frequent changes in schools, which she didn't mind.

A dreamy, shy child with a vivid imagination, Patricia began writing at the age of six, penning her first book, 'How to Train Dogs.' As she grew older, she wrote novels filled with adventure, complete with illustrations and maps. As an adult, she worked in publishing and as a children's bookseller in Manhattan.

After taking an M.A. in Writing for Children, she taught creative writing courses in London. Her first novel, 'The Ice Boy,' was published after winning the Fidler Award for a first novel.

Patricia was an active member of several writers' groups and participated in numerous workshops and festivals. She lived with her husband and a Dachshund in Suffolk, engaging in conservation activities and writing articles for a local magazine.
