Pam Bachorz is an American author known for her speculative fiction works. Born in 1973, she grew up in a small town in the Adirondack foothills. Her early life was marked by a love for performing, actively participating in various performance groups while steering clear of athletic activities, unless they involved wearing sequined headpieces.
She pursued higher education in Boston, earning a total of four degrees: a BS in Journalism, a BA in Environmental Science, a Masters in Library Science, and an MBA. Despite her academic accomplishments, her mother humorously laments that her degrees reside under her bed.
Bachorz draws inspiration from her surroundings, having written her novel CANDOR while living in a Florida planned community and setting DROUGHT in the woods reminiscent of her childhood summer retreats. She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, son, and their big red rescue mutt. Bachorz enjoys cooking, hiking, the Red Sox, and travel adventures. Her chosen sports are Zumba and Fantasy Football, both of which, in her eyes, are only improved by the addition of sequins.
