Norman Ollestad Jr. is a celebrated American author, born on May 30, 1967. At just eleven years old, he survived a plane crash that tragically took the life of his father. This harrowing experience became the subject of his 2009 bestselling memoir, Crazy For The Storm: A Memoir Of Survival.
Ollestad studied creative writing at UCLA and attended the university's undergraduate Film School. His writing has been featured in renowned publications such as Outside, Men’s Journal, and Time.
In addition to his memoir, he authored a novel titled French Girl with Mother, which was published in October 2016.
Residing in Venice, California, Norman Ollestad is married and a proud father of two children—a son and a daughter.
