Nina G. Jablonski

Nina G. Jablonski is an American anthropologist and palaeobiologist, renowned for her research into the evolution of skin color in humans. She is deeply engaged in public education about human evolution, human diversity, and racism. In 2021, she was elected to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and, in 2009, to the American Philosophical Society. She serves as an Evan Pugh University Professor at The Pennsylvania State University.

Jablonski is the author of several influential books, including Skin: A Natural History, Living Color: The Biological and Social Meaning of Skin Color, and co-author, alongside Sindiwe Magona and Lynn Fellman, of Skin We Are In. Her research on human skin has been featured in prominent publications such as National Geographic and Scientific American.
