Nicholas Binge is a bestselling author known for his work in speculative thrillers, literary science-fiction, and horror. His writing has been featured in prestigious publications like The New York Times, The Sunday Times, The Wall Street Journal, The FT, Entertainment Weekly, and The Washington Post.
His debut novel, Professor Everywhere, won the Proverse Prize for Literature in Hong Kong. His latest work, Ascension, was chosen as a New York Times Editor’s Choice Pick and declared one of the best books of 2023 by Vulture, The LA Times, and The Sunday Times. It was also nominated for the Goodreads’ Choice Awards in 2023 and the Ignotus Award for Best Novel in 2024. This novel received critical acclaim and has been translated into nine languages. Additionally, it has been optioned for a film adaptation.

Binge was born in Singapore and has lived in Switzerland, Hong Kong, and now resides in Edinburgh, Scotland. In addition to his fiction work, he frequently contributes to publications such as The Guardian, Literary Hub, and CrimeReads. He is also a lecturer in creative writing at Edinburgh Napier University and is actively engaged in the Edinburgh Science-Fiction & Fantasy community.
