Nic Stone, born Andrea Nicole Livingstone on July 10, 1985, is an American author known for her contributions to young adult fiction and middle grade fiction. She gained prominence with her debut novel Dear Martin and her middle grade debut, Clean Getaway. Her works have been translated into six languages, reflecting her broad appeal.

Born and raised in a suburb of Atlanta, GA, Stone's love for adventure and storytelling shines through in her writing. She graduated from Spelman College and has worked extensively in teen mentoring. Her time living in Israel before returning to the US to write full-time added to her rich tapestry of life experiences. Growing up surrounded by diverse cultures, religions, and backgrounds, Stone is dedicated to bringing diverse voices and stories to her work.
