N.T. Wright

Nicholas Thomas Wright, known as N. T. Wright or Tom Wright, is an esteemed English New Testament scholar, Pauline theologian, and Anglican bishop. Born on December 1, 1948, he has made significant contributions to theological studies. Wright served as the Bishop of Durham and a Lord Spiritual in the UK Parliament from 2003 to 2010. He later joined St Mary's College at the University of St Andrews in Scotland as a research professor, and currently serves as a senior research fellow at Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford.

Wright's work often explores the intersection of theology and Christian life, advocating for a biblical re-evaluation of topics like justification, women's ordination, and views on life after death. He is known for critiquing the concept of a literal Rapture. Wright has authored over seventy books, including the highly regarded 'Christian Origins and the Question of God' series, with 'The Resurrection of the Son of God' being a seminal work on the resurrection of Jesus.
