N.E. Bode

Julianna Baggott is a celebrated novelist, essayist, and poet, also known under the pen names Bridget Asher and N.E. Bode. Born on September 30, 1969, she is an associate professor at Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts. In 2013, she was honored with the Alex Awards.

Beyond her work in academia and writing, Baggott, alongside her husband David G.W. Scott, founded the nonprofit organization Kids in Need - Books in Deed, which provides free books to underprivileged children in Florida.

Baggott's works, which include over fifty overseas editions, have been published in prestigious outlets including The New York Times, Washington Post, and Boston Globe. Her writings have also been featured in Best American Poetry, Best Creative Nonfiction, and on NPR’s Talk of the Nation, All Things Considered, and Here & Now. For two years, her alter-ego, N.E. Bode, was a recurring personality on XM Radio.
