Mick Herron is a renowned British mystery and thriller novelist, born on July 11, 1963. He is most famous for the Slough House series, the early novels of which have been adapted into the Slow Horses television series. His work in mystery and espionage fiction has garnered much acclaim, including winning the Crime Writers' Association 2013 Gold Dagger for his novel Dead Lions.
Herron was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and holds a degree in English from Balliol College, Oxford. Apart from his famous Slough House series, he has also authored a mystery series set in Oxford featuring characters such as Sarah Tucker and P.I. Zoë Boehm. Currently, he resides in Oxford and works in London.
