Megan Maxwell is the pseudonym of María del Carmen Rodríguez del Álamo Lázaro, a Spanish romantic novelist born in 1965 in Nuremberg, Germany. She is known for her contributions to the genres of chick lit and highlander romance. Megan has an American father and a Spanish mother, and she has lived in Spain since she was a baby.

Since 2009, she has written several successful novels. One of her popular works, Pídeme lo que quieras, was adapted into a movie titled Ask Me What You Want in 2024.
