Max Tegmark

Max Erik Tegmark is a Swedish-American physicist, machine learning researcher, and author, best known for his work on Life 3.0, exploring the future of artificial intelligence. He is a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and serves as the president of the Future of Life Institute.

Max Tegmark is also a scientific director at the Foundational Questions Institute and is a supporter of the effective altruism movement. He has received research grants from Elon Musk to explore the potential existential risks posed by advanced artificial intelligence.
