Martin Dugard is a New York Times #1 bestselling author known for his work on the Taking Series, including Taking Berlin (2022) and Taking Paris (2021). He is also renowned as the co-author of the mega-million selling Killing series: Killing Lincoln, Killing Kennedy, Killing Jesus, Killing Patton, Killing Reagan, Killing England, Killing the Rising Sun, Killing the SS, Killing Crazy Horse, and Killing the Mob.
Additionally, Martin is the author of the critically acclaimed memoir To Be A Runner, which is a series of essays about his journey through distance running, symbolizing life and the pursuit of being the best version of oneself. His exploration into global adventures is captured in The Explorers (2013), and he has written extensively on historical explorations in The Last Voyage of Columbus (2005) and Into Africa: The Epic Adventures of Stanley and Livingstone (2003).
He has also worked on the Survivor series and served on the Board of Directors of the USA Track & Field Foundation. Dugard, an adventurer himself, has traveled extensively for his research, including to Spain, Egypt, and Tanzania. He and his wife reside in Orange County, California, and have three sons.
