Margaret Mazzantini

Margaret Mazzantini is an Italian-Irish writer and actress. She began her acting career in 1980, starring in the cult horror classic Antropophagus. She has appeared in numerous television and theatre productions.

As a successful writer, her novels include Non ti muovere (Don't Move), which was adapted into a film directed by her husband, Sergio Castellitto, and starring Penรฉlope Cruz. Her work has earned her several awards and nominations, including the Campiello Awards, a Golden Ticket Award, and a Goya Award.

Margaret Mazzantini married Sergio Castellitto in 1987, and they have four children. She currently resides in Rome.
