Maggie Furey

Maggie Furey was a British fantasy writer, born in Northumberland, England, on 5 November 1955. She was a qualified teacher and is best known for the Artefacts of Power tetralogy. Her career in fantasy writing began in 1994, and she spent many years residing in County Wicklow, Ireland, where she passed away on 3 November 2016.

In addition to her writing, Furey was involved in several literary activities, including reviewing books on BBC Radio Newcastle, advising at the Durham Reading Resources Centre, and organizing children's book fairs.
