Lynne Ewing is an American author and screenwriter known for her contributions to young adult fiction. She has penned 24 novels, including popular series such as Daughters of the Moon, Sons of the Dark, and Sisters of Isis. Her works have been translated into seven languages, showcasing her international reach and appeal.
Ewing's debut novel, Drive-By (1996), was recognized as an ALA Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Adult Readers and was also listed as a New York Public Library Book for the Teen Age. It later won the 1999 Arizona Young Readers Award. Her second novel, Party Girl (1999), received several accolades, including being an ALA Quick Pick, an Amazon Editor's Choice, and a Teen People recommended read. This book was adapted into a film titled Living the Life.
Her book The Lure (2014) was recognized as an ALA In the Margins 2015 top-ten title for Youths in Custody. It has been compared to The Outsiders for its raw and engaging narrative.
Besides writing, Ewing is a member of Sisters in Crime and the Mystery Writers of America. She splits her time between Washington, D.C., Montreal, and Lyon, France.
