Lucinda Riley

Lucinda Kate Riley (née Edmonds; born 16 February 1965 – died 11 June 2021) was a prominent Northern Irish author known for her popular historical fiction. Before establishing herself as a writer, she pursued a career as an actress and ballet dancer.

Lucinda's works have been translated into thirty-seven languages, reaching a global audience and selling over thirty million copies. She achieved No.1 bestseller status in both the Sunday Times and New York Times.

Among her notable contributions is The Seven Sisters series, which narrates the stories of adopted sisters, drawing inspiration from the mythology of the famous star cluster. This series has become a global phenomenon, topping bestseller lists worldwide with sales exceeding fifteen million copies.

Lucinda and her family divided their time between the U.K. and a charming farmhouse in West Cork, Ireland, where she penned many of her acclaimed novels.
