Lori Schiller, born Lori Jo Baach on April 26, 1959, is renowned for her poignant memoir, The Quiet Room: A Journey Out of the Torment of Madness. At the age of 17, Schiller began experiencing auditory hallucinations and was subsequently diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder. Her memoir chronicles her personal journey and that of her family and friends as they navigate the challenges posed by her mental disorder.
