Liza Marklund

Liza Marklund, born Eva Elizabeth Marklund on 9 September 1962, is a renowned Swedish journalist and crime writer.

Her acclaimed novels predominantly feature the fictional newspaper journalist Annika Bengtzon and have been translated into forty languages. Marklund is also the co-owner of Piratförlaget, Sweden's third-largest publishing house. Besides her literary pursuits, she has worked as a journalist and served as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.

Marklund's career as an author includes the authorship of eleven novels and two non-fiction books, with notable works such as the international bestseller The Postcard Killers, co-written with James Patterson. This achievement made her the second Swedish author to reach No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list.
