Liz Kessler

Liz Kessler is a renowned English writer of children's books, born on 15 October 1966. She is most famous for her series about a half-mermaid named Emily Windsnap. Liz has written over twenty books for children and young adults, primarily focusing on Middle Grade themes featuring mermaids, fairies, time travel, and superpowers. Her works include the New York Times best-selling Emily Windsnap series and the Philippa Fisher novels.

Liz resides in Manchester, England, and finds inspiration in anything and everything around her, especially the sea. Her love for the ocean is evident in her storytelling, and she enjoys the idea that magical things might just be around the corner.

In addition to Middle Grade books, she has written early readers and two young adult books about teenagers exploring their identity. Liz's hobbies include photography, bodyboarding, surfing, and other activities near the sea.
