Lisa Maxwell is the New York Times Best-Selling author of young adult and middle grade fantasy, including The Last Magician Series (The Last Magician, The Devil’s Thief, The Serpent's Curse, and The Shattered City), Unhooked, and Keeper of the Rend. Her work has won awards and has been published in 14 languages.

She grew up in Akron, Ohio, and holds a PhD in English. Over her career, she has worked as a teacher, scholar, bookseller, editor, and writer. Currently, when she's not penning novels, she serves as a professor at a local college.
