Lisa Mangum

Lisa Mangum is an American author and editor, best known for her young adult romance trilogy, The Hourglass Door. She has been a dedicated editor at Deseret Book since 1997 and became the editorial manager at Shadow Mountain in 2014. Over her career, she has edited several anthologies for WordFire Press and authored numerous short fiction and nonfiction works.

Her talent has been recognized with several awards; the first two novels in The Hourglass Door trilogy received Foreword Reviews INDIES awards. Additionally, she won two Whitney Awards: one for her 2012 novel, After Hello, and another for outstanding achievement in 2019.

Lisa's love for books began in elementary school when she volunteered at the school library during recess. Her passion for literature continued as she worked shelving books at the Sandy Library and later at Waldenbooks while attending the University of Utah. She graduated with honors with a degree in English.

She resides in Taylorsville, Utah, with her husband, Tracy. Besides books, Lisa loves movies, sunsets, family time, trips to Disneyland, and vanilla ice cream topped with fresh raspberries.
