Lisa Kleypas is an American author of historical and contemporary romance novels. Born Lisa Annette Kleypas on November 5, 1964, she has become a renowned figure in the romance literary world.

In 1985, she was named Miss Massachusetts 1985 and competed in the Miss America 1986 pageant held in Atlantic City.

Kleypas is a RITA award-winning author with 21 novels to her name. Her works are published in fourteen languages and are bestsellers worldwide.

She currently resides in Texas with her husband, Greg Ellis, and their two children, Griffin and Lindsay.
