Lisa Colleen Graff, also known by her pen name Isla Neal, is a renowned American author specializing in teen and children's literature. Born on January 10, 1981, Graff's works have been celebrated on numerous state awards lists and have been featured among the best books of the year.
Her critically acclaimed books include A Tangle of Knots, a National Book Award nominee, as well as Lost in the Sun, Absolutely Almost, Double Dog Dare, Umbrella Summer, The Life and Crimes of Bernetta Wallflower, The Thing About Georgie, and Sophie Simon Solves Them All.
Originally from Big Bear, California, Graff's early life was filled with creativity, often writing stories and plays which she performed with her brother. After spending five years as an editor at Farrar, Straus & Giroux Books for Young Readers, Graff now writes full-time from her home near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In her leisure time, she enjoys exploring new places, watching cheesy movies with her family, playing board games, and baking.
