Lisa Gardner is a #1 New York Times bestselling American novelist, known for her thrilling suspense novels. Born in 1972, she has authored more than 20 suspense novels that have been published in over 30 countries. Gardner began her writing career with romantic suspense under the pseudonym Alicia Scott, gaining significant recognition with her breakout domestic thriller, The Perfect Husband, in 1997.

A self-described research junkie, Gardner has transformed her interest in police procedure and criminal minds into a streak of internationally acclaimed novels.
