Lincoln Child is an American author renowned for writing techno-thriller and horror novels. He was born on October 13, 1957. Although he is best known for his collaborations with Douglas Preston—which include the Agent Pendergast series and the Gideon Crew series—Lincoln Child has also penned eight solo novels, including the Jeremy Logan series.

Many of his collaborative novels with Preston, as well as his solo works, have achieved the status of New York Times bestsellers, with some reaching the coveted #1 position. Their debut novel, Relic, was adapted into a feature film. Child's books are celebrated for their meticulous research and scientific accuracy.
