Licia Troisi was born on November 25, 1980, in Rome, Italy. She is a renowned Italian fantasy writer, best known for her series Cronache del mondo emerso (Chronicles of the Emerged World) which began with her first published book, Nihal della terra del vento (Nihal of the Wind Land), in 2004. This trilogy was followed by two more series, Le guerre del mondo emerso (Wars of the Emerged World) and Le leggende del Mondo Emerso (Legends of the Emerged World). Her works have achieved great success, with about 900,000 copies sold in Italy, making her the best-selling Italian fantasy writer.
Her books have been translated into multiple languages, including German, Lithuanian, French, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian. In addition to her literary career, Licia is also involved in the field of astrophysics. She works at the Italian Space Agency and earned her degree in physics with a specialization in astrophysics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
