León de Montecristo is a talented Chilean author born on October 26, 1976, in Santiago, Chile. He is renowned for his contributions to the genres of high fantasy and science fiction, believing that the genre chose him rather than the other way around. Writing under a pseudonym, León de Montecristo is a tribute to both Leo Tolstoy and the fictional Count of Monte Cristo.

He has published several significant works, including epic fantasy novels such as El último rey (Minotauro, 2012) and La sangre escondida (DLE, 2016), both part of the CODEX DRACONIS saga. Additionally, he authored a science fiction novel titled Intraterrestre (Tríada Ediciones, 2017), which has been translated into English, sparking his interest in the Anglo-Saxon literary market.

Montecristo continues to work on various projects, including a novel called El Circo del Infierno and a continuation of the CODEX DRACONIS series titled The Dragon’s Granddaughter, expected to be published in 2024.
