Lene Fogelberg is the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of Beautiful Affliction: A Memoir and the young adult novels, The Oaken Queen and The Lightning Tree, both part of the captivating Natural Intelligence Revolution Trilogy.

Growing up in a small town on the Swedish west coast, Fogelberg developed a love of poetry and reading, nurtured by the rural surroundings of her childhood. She studied languages and creative writing at the University of Gothenburg and the Stockholm Academy of Writing.

Always curious, Fogelberg has embraced opportunities to study and live abroad in countries such as France, Germany, the USA, Indonesia, and Malaysia. After eight years in Southeast Asia, she moved back to Sweden with her family.

An award-winning poet in Sweden, Fogelberg switched to writing in English for her memoir Beautiful Affliction, which became a bestseller, a national gold medalist in the 2016 Independent Publisher Book Awards, and a finalist in the 2015 USA Best Book Awards and the 2016 International Book Awards. It was translated into German and published by Bastei Lübbe.

Her debut YA novel, The Lightning Tree, published on March 29, 2022, became an instant Amazon bestseller. The second installment, The Oaken Queen, was released on October 30, 2023, with the third installment set for release in 2025.
