Layli Miller-Muro (née Bashir) is an American attorney and activist, born on March 24, 1972. She is recognized as the founder and former CEO of the Tahirih Justice Center, a national non-profit organization dedicated to protecting women from human rights abuses. These abuses include rape, female genital mutilation/cutting, domestic violence, human trafficking, and forced marriage.
The Tahirih Justice Center employs a holistic model for protection that combines free legal services and social services case management with public policy advocacy, education, and outreach.
