Laurie R. King

Laurie R. King is an American author best known for her detective fiction. She was born on September 19, 1952. King is an Edgar-winning mystery writer who writes series and standalone novels.

The Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series follows a brilliant young woman who becomes the student, and later the partner, of the legendary detective, Sherlock Holmes. The first in the series, The Beekeeper's Apprentice, is a notable work.
