Laurie Faria Stolarz is an American author acclaimed for her young adult fiction novels featuring teenage protagonists, with her most celebrated works being the Blue is for Nightmares series. Growing up in Salem, MA, Stolarz pursued her higher education at Merrimack College, eventually achieving an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College in Boston.
Stolarz embarked on her literary journey with her debut novel, Blue is for Nightmares, which quickly garnered sales success. She extended the series with three more titles: White is for Magic, Silver is for Secrets, and Red is for Remembrance, as well as a companion graphic novel, Black is for Beginnings.
