Lauren Katherine Conrad is an American television personality, fashion designer, and author. She gained fame in late 2004 after being cast in the reality television series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which chronicled the lives of her and her friends in their hometown of Laguna Beach, California.
Conrad eventually moved to Los Angeles to further her career in the fashion industry. She starred in her own spin-off series, The Hills, for five of its six seasons from 2006 to 2009. During this time, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and interned for Teen Vogue and Kelly Cutrone's public relations firm, People's Revolution. She later founded the fashion lines LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown, and co-founded the fair trade online store The Little Market.
In addition to her television career, Lauren Conrad is a New York Times bestselling author with nine published books, including the L.A. Candy and The Fame Game trilogies. She has over 10 million social media followers and continues to engage her fanbase through her lifestyle website, LaurenConrad.com.
