Laura Harrington

Laura Harrington is an acclaimed American actress and screenwriter. She gained significant recognition for her role in the film Maximum Overdrive, which was written and directed by Stephen King, where she played the partner of Emilio Estevez's character. She also appeared in the 1997 film The Devil's Advocate alongside Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino.

In addition to her work in film, Harrington is known for her contributions to theatre. Her award-winning plays, musicals, and operas have been produced widely across America, Canada, and Europe, in venues ranging from off-off-Broadway to the Houston Grand Opera. She is the recipient of the 2008 Kleban Award for the most promising librettist in American Musical Theatre. Harrington has twice won both the Massachusetts Cultural Council Award and the Clauder Competition for best new play in New England. Her novel A Catalog of Birds was published by Europa Editions and is set in 1970, reflecting a pivotal moment in American history.
