Lara Whatley is a creative soul from Southern Ontario, Canada. Raised on a healthy dose of fairytales and the outdoors, she carries a head full of stories and art projects. She independently published her first book at the age of 15 and has since authored three more.

Lara enjoys creating with music and art just as much as she loves weaving words together. She explores new mediums and transposes movie soundtracks to be played on her harp. In 2016, she began working with multimedia to bring some of her creative creatures to life. Discovering a passion for creating the cute and whimsical, she quickly found a new outlet for her hobbies.

In 2017, Lara opened her Etsy shop, Whatley's Wildlife, where people can adopt some of her creative designs. Beyond writing, she's a student who enjoys diverse forms of creativity.
