Lael Littke

Lael Jensen Littke is a renowned American author, born on December 2, 1929. She is celebrated for her captivating young adult literature and has published around 75 short stories. Her stories often reflect her rich life experiences and profound insights.

Lael is the daughter of Frank George and Ada Geneva (Petersen) Jensen. She married George C. Littke, a college professor, on June 29, 1954, and they have a daughter named Lori S.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University in 1952, followed by graduate studies at City College (now City University of New York) from 1955 to 1959, and at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1968.

Littke is a member of the Democratic Party and a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling.

She holds memberships in the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Council on Children's Literature.

Throughout her career, she has worked in various capacities, including as a secretary for Gates Rubber Co. in Denver, Colorado, and for the Life Insurance Association of America in New York City. She has also engaged deeply in the field of literature and writing.
