Krystal Sutherland is an internationally published author, originally from Australia. She is best known for her young adult novels. Her debut book, Our Chemical Hearts, was published in over 20 countries and was named as one of the best debuts of 2016 by the American Booksellers Association. The novel was adapted into a film by Amazon Studios, featuring Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams, with Sutherland serving as an executive producer.

Her second novel, A Semi-Definitive List of Worst Nightmares, received critical acclaim in 2017 and was optioned for adaptation by Yellow Bird US. Her latest novel, House of Hollow, released in April 2021 by Penguin, has been listed on the New York Times Best Seller list.
