She is widely known for her compelling novels, including Winter Garden, The Nightingale, Firefly Lane, The Great Alone, and The Four Winds. In 2024, her novel The Women was published, which is set in the United States during the 1960s and explores themes related to the Vietnam War.
Hannah's works have garnered numerous accolades, and she has received awards such as The Golden Heart, The Maggie, and The National Reader's Choice in 1996.
