Kristin Hannah is an American writer born on September 25, 1960. She is renowned for her captivating novels that have touched the hearts of many readers worldwide. Her most notable works include Winter Garden, The Nightingale, Firefly Lane, The Great Alone, and The Four Winds. In 2024, The Women was published, set in the United States during the 1960s' Vietnam War.
Hannah is an award-winning and bestselling author of over 20 novels, including the international blockbuster, The Nightingale, which was named the Goodreads Best Historical Fiction Novel for 2015 and won the coveted People's Choice Award for Best Fiction in the same year. It was also named a Best Book of the Year by Amazon, iTunes, Buzzfeed, the Wall Street Journal, Paste, and The Week.
