Kendare Blake is a contemporary author of young adult novels. Her works include Anna Dressed in Blood, Antigoddess, and Three Dark Crowns.

Blake's writing style is often described as dark and violent, with frequent descriptions of food—a quirk she attributes to writing while hungry. She has authored several novels and short stories, known for their adventurous spirit and diverse genres, including horror, mythology, and fantasy.

Born in July in Seoul, South Korea, Blake was adopted and raised in the United States. Despite her Korean origins, she doesn't speak the language, a fact she humorously attributes to her ineptitude with foreign languages.

Blake currently resides in Gig Harbor, Washington, with her husband and an eclectic mix of pets, including a cat named Tyrion Cattister, a Doberman named Obi-Dog Kenobi, a Rottweiler mix named Agent Scully, and a naked Sphynx cat named Armpit McGee.
