Keisha N. Blain

Keisha N. Blain is an American writer and scholar specializing in American and African-American history. She is a Professor of Africana Studies and History at Brown University. Blain served as president of the African American Intellectual History Society from 2017 to 2021. She is known for her involvement in the Charleston Syllabus social media movement.

Blain is also a columnist for MSNBC and a Guggenheim Fellow. One of her notable works is the National Book Critics Circle Award finalist Until I Am Free. She resides in Providence, Rhode Island.
