Kate Jacobs is a New York Times-bestselling author known for her novels such as Comfort Food, Knit Two, and The Friday Night Knitting Club, which has over 1 million copies in print.
Kate was born on January 11, 1959, in Alexandria, Virginia, United States, and is also recognized as an American singer-songwriter.
She grew up near Vancouver, British Columbia, in the scenic town of Hope. Despite its beauty, it was tremendously boring for her as a teenager, leading her to beg her parents to send her to boarding school in Victoria, BC. She later earned a Bachelor’s degree in journalism at Carleton University in Ottawa and subsequently moved to New York City.
